OAK ULTIMATE: Winter Program 2025-2026 (Storm)

PLEASE READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING BEFORE SIGNING UP:

OAK Storm was created to give the highest level High School youth athletes in the Greater Bay Area more opportunities to play competitive Ultimate in the winter.  Our focus continues to be balancing time and commitment while honoring the existing long standing Ultimate opportunities and events such as the BADA Fall High School Mixed League, OAK’s Mini League, Napa Penguin and Fog Five Cup. Our team keeps both athletes and their families busy schedules top of mind, along with maximizing opportunities for playing time and mentorship from highly experienced coaches.

In addition to maximizing playing time and touches through reasonably smaller rosters, a core part of our curriculum focuses on leadership skills and social emotional growth and well-being. To that end, we prioritize a diversity of players and ensure that all high school teams across the Bay Area have some representation so these young leaders can take their new skills and deeper understanding of our sport back to their respective programs. This approach aligns with OAK’s core values of mentoring and supporting the next generation of leaders, future captains and coaches to ensure ultimate programs all across the greater Bay Area will have enduring success.

We strongly encourage athletes from all parts of the greater Bay Area to try out for our team.

Although we encourage athletes to attend both tryouts, we understand that might not be possible.

Requirements to players:

  • Active USAU membership (Youth), for more information, see the USAU membership pages (you can select Oakland Ultimate for the affiliate)

  • TeamSnap registration with OAK Ultimate.  For announcements and information on all OAK programs this year, registration will open in October 2025.
