Jessica Gatewood
Jessica is a parent, educator, amateur photographer, and semi-professional supporter of ultimate. With a player alum who served as a head coach, the program’s first Gx player to play Open at YCCs, and a burgeoning 7-year-old with a mean flick, Jessica and her family are unwittingly aiming to break all records for total number of years with a player in OAK. Jessica is passionate about growing the sport and leads OAK’s Gx Committee and currently services as Board co-president.

Chris Garcia
Chris restarted his involvement with Ultimate about 10 years ago through pick-up games in Alameda. Since then he has coached Alameda MS and HS teams and multiple OAK teams. His focus on OAK is building outstanding programs for MS/U15, HS for all genders, cultures and communities. Outside of ultimate and coaching, Chris also loves technology (career and job) and a genuine interest in lots of tech - from 3d printing to random making projects.
Chris currently serves as the Director of Coaching for all OAK programs and as Head Coach of the U20 Bx/Open YCC team (smOAK).

Han Cho
Han was dragged out to play ultimate at lunch by a coworker a long time ago, he really enjoyed playing casually but drifted away from it as life got busier. Much to his surprise his son found the sport and fell in love with it, going from his middle school team to Alameda Taurus/Monarchs and two great years with OAK.
As with a lot of people, Han really enjoys the culture, spirit, and community around the game, as well as meeting and hanging out with the other families. He really hopes to help families navigate the sport, which led him to volunteer at multiple events, and ultimately to help out on the board this year.
Han currenly services as Board secretary.

Jason also supports the Ultimate Peace organization and is proud to have seen his father get inducted into the Ultimate Hall of Fame as our sport’s first ever Contributor Historian! In 2023, Jason joined the OAK Board of Directors and then in 2024 joined the OAK coaching staff as one of the Oak Sparks Coaches - and has more recently joined OAK’s Gx Committee.
